Awesome.

Preparation update(s)

Alhamdulilah Ya Allah atas kurnia rezeki serta redha-Mu kepada kami dalam melaksanakan urusan yang telah Engkau permudahkan untuk Masjid yang bakal kami bina nanti. InsyaAllah.

Again, like my previous entry here, I went to take a day off from work just to get some wedding things done.

Alhamdulilah, cuti yang di ambil inda sia-sia. It was a very productive day.

The to-do list:

  • Dental X-ray (I know, sooo out of the topic ;p)
  • Yaasin printing
  • Deposit for Berbedak Night catering (mine)
  • Deposit for Reception door gift
  • A visit to Ruzz Enterprise (Cuci mata saja ehe)
  • Solemnization door gift inquiry from supplier
  • Placing order for window blinds
  • Invitation card
  • Reception attire tailoring
  • Wedding shoes
  • Light fitting(s)

Again alhamdulilah. Managed to tick off many points from the to-do list I’ve made especially for that day.

1. Yaasin Printing

Went to inquire for the possibilities of printing the naskah with my own cover design. And yes, it is possible but with an additional cost which kalau di campur still under the budget I’ve allocated. So order placed, deposit paid and now waiting for the pickup date.

The use of these printed Yaasin? Alhamdulilah thanks to brides from Malaysia, they inspired me so to give this as a door gift. So I’ve decided to give this as a gift for the ‘membadaki’ guests during Majlis Malam Berbedak for both me and Mr.Fiance.

Di samping pasti the Yaasin will be of use to the receiver, berkah dan pahalanya InsyaAllah ada sedikit untuk kami dan rumahtangga yang bakal kami dirikan. Amin (=

*Just a thought. If you’re interested, PM me. I do design for the Personalized Yaasin cover*

2. Deposit for Berbedak Night catering (mine)

Okay, usually for home-base catering businesses in Brunei, they did not require deposit but then I insisted on doing so anyway. Reason? To confirm my date with them tarus fill in the menu form. Easier for them to refer and for me to bug them monthly until the day of the event itself. Lols. In a way, it shows that I’m a serious customer and I’m demanding expecting their best service.

3. Deposit for Reception door gift

Contacted Zati from Pepperina’s Kitchen more or less a week ago. Ask if she’ll be able to deliver as our door gift vendor for the said event and date. Alhamdulilah she’s able to. So yea, after deliberating on which menu to go for, I’ve emailed her the details of order and packaging and in return she emailed back the full quotation and terms. Every terms and conditions fine with both parties, so deposit paid. End of story. Hehe now awaiting for the pickup date.

*Zati, be warned that I’ll bug you once in a while regarding the order, so yea… be prepared. lols*

4. Ruzz Enterprise

My review about this place will be.. They’ve got a lot of hantaran design to choose from. But mahal. Baju okay lerr. Pelamin, not my kind of pelamin. Hehe atu saja kali ;p

5. Solemnization door gift

Went direct to the supplier (Handsome Enterprise), managed to get a GREAT good price ;p They advice to just give them a call 1½ months before the event date so that they may set aside our requested quantity. Then collect the order a month or ½ a month before the date together with the full payment on the day itself.

Easy to talk to, very efficient service. Enough said (=

6. Placing order for window blinds

Skipped.

7. Invitation card

Went for the survey yesterday since we’re too tired to continue on the day before.

The design I want is basically just a plain but HQ beige colour paper A5 size. One side for the ‘Yang Mulia’ print on. The other side, the usual ‘Walimatul Urus’, name of parents, name of the wedding couple, location, date, time and the summary of ‘Wakil Berharap’ as in the ‘Terdiri dari keluarga pengantin’ saja hehe.

Simple? That’s my requirements. Maybe ada ribbon damit la. No doa I think pasal takut kalau orang buang ke sampah. If they burn, no problem.. but what if they just simply throw into the bin?

I think I need to clarify this matter with yang lebih arif. Noted!

Managed to stop by Ezy Printing the Giant saja for the survey. They quoted B$0.90 each. Under my budget pulang but if ada lagi murah, much better (=

8. Reception attire

Spent like nearly an hour or so with the designer discussing about our requirement. He’s very good at capturing the details you describe apatah lagi drawing it on a paper. I was like wow! He’s good. Mudahan tah the dress and suit turns out as we imagine it to be. Lols.

Where?

- Syarikat Hasla Fashion and Design, Kiulap

Price?

- For groom: B$30-B$200 (Baju melayu to Suit)

- For bride: B$50-B$600 (Baju kurung to Dress – depends on the bead works)

Note to self: Refrain yourself from expecting too much!

 9. Wedding shoes

 Its beige.

It’s a pump.

It’s ‘the’ shoe.

It’s the ‘it’ shoe. Another love!!! After we went to Ezy printing yesterday, we went to the B.Urban outlet there. Alang-alang sudah setampat atu, aga saja tarus. Who knows ada the ‘it’ shoes. And guess what?! Memang ada!!! I was so happy sampai inda lagi tekata apa. Lols!

10. Light fitting

No comment. Yet. =D
